  3. 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
  4. 185g butter, very soft but not melted, cubed
  5. 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  6. 395g (1 3/4 cup) caster sugar
  7. 3 eggs
  8. 250ml (1 cup) water
